The incorporation of the many conventions of media in film

 The main components of media studies are some of the first things taught to most media students. these main components are Mise En Scène, sound, cinematography, and editing. Mise En Scène is the altogether appearance of the set/ scene from the props to the stage design and actor placement in scenes for film production, as well as the visual arts in general. Essentially it would be reasonable to conclude that Mise En Scène covers the overall visual representation of a film. Furthermore, because it encompasses all auditory and listenable parts of media, Sound is one of the more straightforward notions in film. Sound is an important component of audience stimulation and is evident in everyday media use. Cinematography covers the technical aspects of visual representation in film. The basic composition of a scene, the lighting of the set or location, the choice of cameras, lenses, filters, film stock, the camera angle, and movements, as well as the integration of any special effects, are all examples of cinematography. The process of turning separate scenes and shots into a whole motion picture is known as editing in film. To put the final movie together, shots are trimmed or combined. masterclass.com defines mise en scene as, A term used to describe the setting of a scene in a play or a film is mise en scène, pronounced meez-ahn-sen. Everything, including humans, that is placed on the stage or in front of the camera is referred to as this.

The term "mise en scène" literally translates to "the act of putting on the stage" in French. The term's origins can be traced back to stage theater, where it relates to the placement of performers and scenic objects; but, as it became more widely used in other storytelling arts, its meaning altered.

Factors of consideration prior to planning

It is critical to completely comprehend the various components that make up the film before beginning the filmmaking process. It is critical to conduct considerable research and review other pieces of similar media during this procedure. It's also vital to go back to the beginning of media studies, looking at the fundamental components of media, in this case, the components of films in media. It's also crucial to consider media language, representation, audiences, and institutions and  It's also crucial to consider how you'll integrate all of these elements into your own film. It is also vital to review the principles and qualities of filmmaking, such as mise en scene, sound, editing, and cinematography. Scripting

The first step in planning a film is the script. The script connotates the plot of the film, it tells the story and order of the scenes while also describing the actions and dialogue of the characters. i began by looking at examples of other scripts done by professionals, they showed me not all scripts are the same and scripts are not only limited to the film conventions, they can be used for other aspects of media.  The image above is a script demonstrating a scene from the Disney animated film "Frozen". I used this as an example to make my own script. However, I wanted to make a non dialogue film script so I went and found an example of a film script that did not consist of dialogue. The image above shows a scene scripted from the animated movie, "Shawn the Sheep", this film contains no dialogue whatsoever so it was a perfect example of a non-dialogue script.
