My Project

 My film is called "SERATONIN". After doing research into branding I thought that I would go for a name that directly refers to my film but in a complicated indirect way that makes it harder for viewers to understand. Seratonin is a film about an invisible boy. I do not mean invisible in a literal way but in a figurative sense. As some people may notice I spelled Seratonin wrong. this was intentional on my behalf as the producer and director. I was going for a nonconventional route that made my title sequence different in all aspects. As you watch my film I hope the un ethicality of the opening will bring suspense and motivate my audience to want more.

The incorporation of the many conventions of media in film

 The main components of media studies are some of the first things taught to most media students. these main components are Mise En Scène, sound, cinematography, and editing. Mise En Scène is the altogether appearance of the set/ scene from the props to the stage design and actor placement in scenes for film production, as well as the visual arts in general. Essentially it would be reasonable to conclude that Mise En Scène covers the overall visual representation of a film. Furthermore, because it encompasses all auditory and listenable parts of media, Sound is one of the more straightforward notions in film. Sound is an important component of audience stimulation and is evident in everyday media use. Cinematography covers the technical aspects of visual representation in film. Filming & Production

Filming and Production   My filming process was not as easy as I initially speculated. I started my production process by making my schedule and selecting the location for my filming and I decided that I was going to use my entire break to just shoot based on the scenes depicted in my storyboard and script. I filmed at school and I mainly used a tripod and a variety of handheld shots. I also made a variety of changes after I made my script and storyboard and I added some shots that were not planned, however, I did believe they would make my extract more meaningful. For my filming, I used an iPhone 8, iPhone XR, and a Canon rebel T100. For my lighting, I used a portable stage light I bought on amazon but I did not really like the way the shots came out so I did not really rely on the lighting.
