Technology and Software

In all aspects of film technology and software play one of the most essential if not the most essential role in film making. filmmaking consists of many different types of technology; filming technology varies from smartphone cameras to autonomous drones and digital cameras. Premiumbeat.com claims that Digital cameras are getting smaller, cheaper, and more powerful every day. Our phones are developing from point-and-shoot cameras to 360-degree immersive recording devices, and ingenious brains in dark rooms are concocting new ways to move the film industry forward in ways that are only fit for science fiction. Moreover, with the constant ascendance of digital technology regarding filming, cinematographers have a wider variety of ideas that they could incorporate in their motion pictures.

Technology and software can be used in films because they offer the ability to do things a filmmaker could not do any other way. for example, green screen technology offers a filmmaker the ability to manipulate, create and alter images on a solid color. Adobe describes greenscreen as, Filming a person or adding visual effects in front of a solid color is conceivable. After that, you can use post-production to drop the scene onto the background of your choice by digitally removing or "keying out" that color. "Chroma keying" is the technique of removing the colorful backdrop. Essentially, greenscreens can be described as magic image-altering walls.

The image above illustrates green screens being used in the movie Spiderman far from home. this technology is also known as CGI editing. Films of the action genre commonly use CGI editing and technology to manipulate the setting of the film. these images play a major role in the perception of the film by the audience and viewers. CGI's also known as digitally created images are not only used in films but also used in games and music videos.

what technology was used in the development of my opening sequence?

in my film, I used my cellphone camera as well as a Canon Rebel T100 to capture the shots and stills. I also used a mobile stage light that I bought on amazon. I had to use different devices to do the filming because each device provided many different options in the total appearance of my shots.

Regarding the filming I had initially believed that using my camera would make things a lot easier, but in reality it just made the entire process more complicated, I did however do some of my filming on my camera but for the shots that I needed to look a specific way I used my cellphone.

Regarding the editing software, I used a series of websites and video editing software programs. These websites and video editing software include Videopad, Cape cut and Inshot. These made cutting and arranging each shot and scene less complicated that I had already concluded.

Regarding the lighting and the contrast of my shots i used the euphoria filter on Tiktok to give it that "look". In my opinion I think they came out quite well and considering i had to improvise I am in laud.

Mise En Scene in film

According to materclass.com, mise-en-scene is a phrase for the setting of a scene in a play or a film. It includes persons who are positioned on the stage or in front of the camera.  Mise en scène can help elevate a film from a collection of moving pictures to a work of art. Many diverse aspects, like setting, lighting, actors, décor, makeup, and so on, come into play to make this happen. Ultimately, the mise-en-scene of a film achieves not only the ability to convey to an audience the mood, drama, and likely occurrences of a scene or sequence, but also its affecting intensity, style of feeling, and the power to inspire the viewer to feel deeply as well.
